OT Prototype Authority, 10 U.S.C. §4022(f)  

A direct, non-competitive follow-on production award for a competitively awarded prototype that SBCC has already delivered. It moves a proven prototype straight into full production, scales and integrates it across the enterprise, and sustains it over time, all without a new competition. It is the ideal fit for a Department of War (DoW) organization ready to take an SBCC-proven, Tradewinds-enabled prototype into production and sustainment. 

SCOPE

OT Follow-on Production applies to qualifying production, scaling, and sustainment of SBCC’s Data Engineering & Analytics capability, including:

  • Data engineering and analytics solutions

  • Decision-support tools

  • Agile DevSecOps development and deployment

  • AI/ML-enabled analytics

  • Production and scaling of proven capabilities

  • Sustainment of deployed solutions

USING OT FOLLOW-ON PRODUCTION

When the requirements for follow-on production are met, an eligible Department of War organization can use this authority to move the qualifying prototype capability into production without conducting a new competition.
